Announcement: First joint Symposium on “Tools for assessing status of European aquatic ecosystems”

We are pleased to announce the joint Scientific Symposium “Tools for assessing status of European aquatic ecosystems” of the research programmes DEVOTES, WATERS (www.waters.gu.se) and MARS (www.mars-project.eu).

The symposium will bring together scientists and environmental managers to present and discuss state-of-the-art indicator development and assessment methods for ecological/environmental status of freshwater and marine ecosystems. The focus of the presentations will be related to the implementation of EU Water Framework Directive and EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive.

Time: May 6 – 7, 2015
Venue: Hotel Elite Plaza, Malmö (Sweden)

Time schedule

December 1st 2014: Abstract submission opens • Registration opens
March 20th 2015: Deadline for abstract submission
Registration fee: 2 900 SEK (2 300 SEK excl VAT) by March 1st 2015 (includes attendance to the symposium, the programme including the Book-of-Abstracts, refreshments (tea/coffee), two lunches, the official Conference Dinner and one overnight stay at the conference hotel).
