Involvement in other projects/programs:
P.S. is Network Director for the Canadian Healthy Oceans Network (CHONe), and was heavily involved in the international Census of Marine Life program, and has served on advisory boards and steering committees for EuroMarine, Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment (SCOPE) Subcommittee on Soils and Sediments, Canadian Centre for Marine Biodiversity, NEPTUNE Canada, Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) Canada, and the Canadian Scientific Submersible Facility (CSSF).

Research interests: Expert in marine biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, larval transport.
